Investors

We plan the rehab around your target listing date.

Tell us when you need to list or have the property ready to rent. We walk the job with that deadline in mind, then put the agreed scope and finish date in writing.

Request a property walk
  • Flip & distressed

We do kitchens, baths, siding, and whole-home work, and close the punch list before the listing photos. On a distressed buy, we put the structure and systems right before finish work starts.

  • Hold, unit turns & BRRRR

An initial rehab may involve a full gut. Between tenants, the work may be paint and flooring. We scope the work for the condition of the property.

  • Multifamily value-add

You pick the kitchen and bath package once, and we repeat it door to door so the units match.

  • ADUs & additions

We frame additions onto existing houses and build basements and attics out into living space. The scope follows the space you want to add.

Finished open kitchen in Spenard with navy cabinets, island, and granite counters
Spenard. Open kitchen, island, and granite, both levels finished.

Why Far North

We’ve finished kitchens and baths in houses people were living in.

In Taku-Campbell, we gutted the kitchen while the house stayed occupied — the fridge stayed running where it stood. In Eagle River, we converted two bathrooms one at a time, so there was always a working bath. In Spenard, we took out the kitchen wall, re-routed the drains under the floor, and finished both levels in one building season. You’re hiring a contractor who has already done that work.

FAQ

Common questions

Where in Alaska does Far North Construction work?+

Far North Construction is an Anchorage-based general contractor. The regular service area is Anchorage and Eagle River. Projects farther out are welcome and carry a commute charge for the added travel, quoted up front with the scope.

Do you work with investors on fix-and-flip timelines?+

Yes. We take your target listing date into account when we walk the property and scope the rehab. You get an agreed finish date in writing before demolition. If it moves, you get the new date and the reason in writing.

What does a kitchen or bathroom remodel cost?+

Cost depends on the scope, materials, and conditions behind the walls. After a site walk, we give you a written scope and price before demolition, including allowances for conditions we cannot measure yet.

How long does a remodel take?+

You get a finish date in writing before demo. Length depends on the scope and what can remain in use while we work. We settle the room-access plan during the site visit. Long-lead items are ordered against that date. If the date moves, you get the new date and the reason in writing.

What happens if you find damage behind the walls?+

We photograph the damage and walk through it with you the day we find it. We price the repair as its own line for your approval before work continues.

How do I request a quote?+

Describe the job in the contact form. You can add photos or plans as images or PDFs, up to 4MB per file. We respond within one business day. We review the details before arranging a site visit.

Do you work through the Alaska winter?+

Yes. We do interior kitchen, bath, and remodel work through the Alaska winter. We schedule exterior work, including siding, decks, and additions, around the season.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured, and how can I verify it?+

Yes. Far North Construction LLC is a State of Alaska licensed general contractor, with the residential contractor endorsement, and is bonded and insured. Verify it on the State of Alaska professional license search. Certificates of insurance and bonding are available on request.

Do you offer a workmanship warranty?+

Yes. Coverage starts at completion. Materials, fixtures, and appliances carry their own manufacturer coverage. The terms are in your contract before you sign.
